Lesson 2: Irregular Plural Nouns
☞ a Whole Group Active Engagement Activity to engage and excite your students to help them learn about adjectives.
For Lesson 1 you you will do a read aloud the story If You Were a Plural Word by Tricia Shaskan (book not included) or any picture book you have on plural noun. You will have a discussion about how nouns are made into a plural by adding s, es, ies and ves to the end of the word.
For Lesson 2 you will do a quick interactive activity on the carpet where the students will match a singular noun to t he irregular plural noun playing Find My Foot.
☞ a Guided Practice Activity where the students will work together now that they are familiar with plural nouns. The students will play a scoot game and have them create the basket craft first before playing the scoot game. You will tell the students they are going on a plural noun picnic.
☞ an Independent Practice Activity for lesson 1 where the students will receive a plural noun scoot card on each of their desk and participate in the scoot card game. For lesson 2 each student will write the singular and irregular plural noun they had on their foot cut-out from the guided practice activity.
