These 3 Mini-Books are a GREAT ACTIVITY to have your students apply what they have learned in your daily lessons on Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives. I utilize these mini-books in my classroom after two lessons on these language skills.
This unit includes:
- 3 Mini-Books - one for Nouns, one for Verbs, and one for Adjectives.
- The Covers for the Mini-Books come in Color and Black and White
- You can make the mini-books as long or as short as you would like for your students.
- The NOUN Mini-Book begins with the students writing the definition of a Noun and then completing a bubble map with examples of nouns. The following pages in the book are for students to APPLY their knowledge of Nouns by writing detailed sentences using 3 different categories of nouns within one sentence. They must also illustrate the sentence they wrote. The recording pages are the same format, you can add as many pages as you like to have your students practice.
- The VERB Mini-Book begins with students writing the definition of a Verb and then completing a bubble map where they write 4 different verbs and draw a small illustration. The following pages in the book are for students to APPLY their knowledge of Verbs by writing detailed sentences using 2 different verbs within one sentence. They must also illustrate the sentence they wrote. The recording pages are the same format, you can add as many pages as you like to have your students practice.
- The ADJECTIVE Mini-Book begins with the students writing the definition of an adjective and then completing a bubble map where they must supply an adjective to describe the noun that is pictured. The following pages in the book are for students to APPLY their knowledge of Adjectives by writing detailed sentences using an adjective and noun phrase within one sentence. They are requested to create a phrase with an adjective/noun to assist them in writing more detailed sentences. They must also illustrate the sentence they wrote. The recording pages are the same format, you can add as many pages as you like to have your students practice.
