Johnny Appleseed is so much fun to learn about! Get ready to have your students APPLY everything they learned about Apples and Johnny Appleseed in this fresh and funky Johnny Appleseed Flip Flap Book®!

We have now added Google Slide activities to accompany each unit. You can click on the Google Slides link, make a copy, and now begin using it with your students. You can add the Google Slide links to Google Classroom, via email, Microsoft Teams, and Seesaw, etc. This will give you the ability to provide the unit activities digitally to your students.
Included in this unit is:
- 1 J-O-H-N-N-Y Appleseed Flip Flap Book® - The students will have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned about Apples and Johnny Appleseed in this flip-flap book®
They will:
- write about who Johnny Appleseed was
- label a diagram of an apple
- complete a Johnny Appleseed - Was, Had, Did Graphic Organizer
- label a diagram of The Life Cycle of an Apple (2 different options)
- create a student-based survey of the students' favorite apples
- use the survey data to complete a bar graph {Optional Pages}
- design and color apple trees throughout the seasons
- OPINION WRITING - the students will complete a graphic organizer as to why apples are the tastiest fruits. Then they will write an opinion paragraph the supports their opinion utilizing their graphic organizer.

This flip-flap book® could also be used as an authentic assessment to evaluate the depth of knowledge your students gained through your unit on apples.
Please Note: This unit requires 8 1/2 x 11 AND 8 1/2 x 14 (legal size) photocopy paper. In order to print this unit, you will need BOTH SIZES OF PAPER!
