The students will...
- match 4 related sentences and write the sentences in a Compound Sentence using a COMMA and the conjunction but, and or so.
- write sentences based on a picture that require COMMAS to separate items in series (list)
- write proper nous for common nouns and write them in sentences using them as APPOSITIVES and separated by COMMAS
- check out the map of where Famous Americans were born and write sentences using the person's name, birthplace and adding COMMAS between the City and State {map skills as well}
- write the date and draw a picture of the holiday shown and write the holidays and dates in sentences using COMMAS in the dates
- APPLY their knowledge of using commas by reading a Friendly Letter and adding COMMAS throughout the letter. Each of the skills the students practiced will be shown throughout the letter.
