- 1 Rocks & M-I-N-E-R-A-L-S Flip-Flap Book® - The students will have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned about Rocks and Minerals. This book is to be used as an EXTENSION and/or expository writing resource to your lessons and/or experiments on Rocks and Minerals.
The students will:
- define what a rock is
- define what a mineral is
- draw and label the three types of rocks
- choose a mineral and complete the properties of that mineral {color, luster, streak, and hardness}
- draw a metamorphic rock and describe its properties
- draw an igneous rock and describe its properties
- draw a sedimentary rock and describe its properties
- complete the rock cycle by organizing illustrated pictures and words to show how rocks are formed.
